Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Julia is a multi-hyphenate who grew up in the entertainment world. Starting off as an actor at a young age and holding plays in her backyard, she studied theater at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, before entering the professional film world on HBO’s True Detective. From there she went on to work on many features, commercials, and music videos, then went into development at Illumination Entertainment. Her writing and producing work has been featured in Vanity Fair, GQ, Huffington Post, and been to Tribeca Film Festival, amongst others.
Julia is repped by APA for commercial and Range Media Partners for Lit, and is currently writing several projects with Sophie Tabet for their banner, Bang Bang Pictures. They have projects in development with StudioCanal, Catchlight Studios, Paradox Pictures, and more, and have an original series with Bert+Bertie attached to direct. Julia is set to feature in their original film, Stone Cold Fox, as well as psychological comedy Woozy, both slated to shoot 2023. She is also developing two comedy series and a play to star in. Julia continues to act, write, direct, and hold plays in her backyard.
